Education always gets you to the success. 
There are hundreds of aspirants, including NRIs who appear in the examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). But, only a few make it to the list. 
It does not mean that this is the end of their dream. Rather, it’s the staring of your winning streak. You feel a great difference in your perspective, personality and everything upon preparing for it. Your power of analyzing things improves. You start seeing things from different verticals. It’s simply because of a pool of knowledge that you gain during preparations. 
Here are multiple career options that remain always-on once you are prepared through the UPSC examination training:
·        One can apply for State Civil Services Exams to serve as a civil servant in a state. Even if you’re an NRI, you can apply for it provided that you have a certificate of Indian nationality. This examination does not require any domicile for applying. You can appear from any state. But, the state language exam is must. If you speak Hindi, opt it in for PCS examination in any state.  
·        If teaching is your cup of tea, apply for Teaching Eligibility Test (TET). It gets you an opportunity to teach college-going undergrads. 
·        For a designation is banking sector, the UPSC coaching makes you qualified for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). You can apply for the position of a Probationary Officer (PO).    
·        Non-residents are also eligible for other government exams like UPSC EPFO, CAPF, CDS, RBI Grade B, Intelligence Bureau, Railways.
·        If you could not get through the interview round, opportunities are still there to get top posts in the Public Sector Units (PSUs), such as Sports Authority of India (SAI), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) and many more ones.
·        The private or corporate sector is also open with hundreds of job opportunities to be recruited on a respectful designation. 
·        There is a great scope in the training industry, wherein you can become a faculty or a teacher to prepare aspirants of UPSC. 
The aforementioned career options are always there for residents, including non-residents of India. You really feel a dramatic difference in your perspective towards life after getting IAS coaching. 
Some NRIs have perspective that they cannot contest for any prestigious position in the government sector here. They need correction here. They are allowed to try their luck in this sector, given that they don’t have any foreign nationality. 
Nationality for UPSC Eligibility of NRIs
There are some cases seen wherein immigrants want to appear in the CSE or IAS or any other similar examinations. But, their foreign nationality stands as a big hurdle in their way. 
There is a way for such candidates. They can give up their foreign citizenship. And, apply for the passport and nationality certificate of our country. 
Some people are strictly barred from contesting for the IAS exams. Here is the nationality criterion defined for this examination: 
·        a citizen of India, or 
·        a subject of Nepal, or 
·        a subject of Bhutan, or 
·        a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India in his favour.
