Look up a word, learn it forever. Got a word you'd like to learn? Look it up in our dictionary and click the "learn" button — We'll add it to your customized learning program. Want to improve your overall vocabulary? Start playing Vocabulary.com daily, and we'll automatically find words at your level that you need to learn.

Make a list, learn it (and share it). Create a list of words you need to study and we'll help you learn them. Do a practice session to brush-up your knowledge before a quiz, or try a spelling bee. You can also easily share lists that you make with friends and other students in your class.

Find a list to learn. Search our Vocabulary Lists, and you'll find thousands of ready-made vocabulary lists that cover everything from current events, to standardized tests (like the SAT), and most popular literature.

Chart your progress. Want to see how far you've come? Visit the My Progress section of our website to see all the words you've mastered and achievements you've earned. Here, you can also view your trouble words and tailor the words in your personal learning program.

Join the competition! Check out our leaderboards to see how you stack up against other Vocabulary.com players. If you're a student in the US or Canada, you can add your school to your profile. Every word you master will bring your school one step closer to winning this year's Vocabulary Bowl.
