February 2020 in the European Ombudsman's office
In February, Ombudsman Emily O'Reilly was sworn in at the European Court of Justice. The ceremony marked the start of her second mandate. The Ombudsman opened an investigation into how the Commission ensures sustainability of energy infrastructure projects before including them in the PCI list. Also, following our work on the matter, Mario Centeno announced the establishment of an Eurogroup transparency register.
