In my wakelet we can clearly see the division between my worries about the environment/ human health due to our water consumption, and, on the other side of the spectrum, luxury waters, the most pristine, beautiful, and expensive bottled waters you can find.
And in one simple water collection we can get to know me, the two ends of the spectrum, always trying to find the balance: that’s me, nice to meet you!
Now that you understand my chaotic mind, let’s focus on the important part: the power of water. Water touches every aspect of development: drives economic growth, supports healthy ecosystems, and is essential and fundamental for life itself. Climate change expresses itself through water: “9 out of 10 natural disasters are water-related”. So, the world needs a fundamental shift in how it “understands, values and manages water”.
Being one of the changes in the consumption of bottled water. We face two main issues: the well-being of our environment, and the quality of our health as well. The biggest environmental impact of the water industry is the bottles themselves, usually made of some form of plastic (PVC or PET), although they can be recycled, many of them end up in landfills. 
And is our bottled water really that “pure”? No. Sometimes doesn’t even come from the mountains the water company advertises in their pretty bottles but comes from the municipal water supply that people are trying to avoid. Moreover, “recent studies show bottled water containing excessive levels of microplastics.”
Bottled water can be an alternative, for example, in cases where people have no access to a safe water system, but next time we are buying a bottle of water we should think consciously and access our other options.
