Drought in Cambodia, 2016

In large part due to the ‘El Nino’ weather pattern exacerbating the dry season, Cambodia has experienced its worst drought in decades in over 7 provinces and affecting 2.5 million people. This challenge was under-reported due to its effects on the largely rural and poor community, and its significance was under-reported in the press.
