No Matter What I Do, We Are Never The Same

Welcome! I'm Yolanda Gonzalez-Hernandez--- My research chain is discussing and breaking down the assimilation and integration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival; DACA/Dreamers. My concentration is seeing 'What makes society think that others should assimilate?' ' If these individuals do assimilate does it change their outcome? Does it make their contribution to society better? Or worse?' I picked this topic for class because it correlated a lot with this class course - Immigration, Migration, and Refugee in Global Context - many do not know the experiences and its important to see other perspectives/lifestyles of what it takes to come to a 'land of opportunity.' Even seeing the experience others face to get an education, this is happening today.
