May Newsletter

May 1, 2019 Dear Parents / Guardians / Friends of GF / JWL, This is a very busy month! There is so much taking place as we prepare the process of concluding this school year and planning for the 2019-20 school year. Please join me in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week the week of May 6 - 10! Our teachers (and our entire staff) work diligently and tirelessly to ensure that your children are put in a position to success - academically, emotionally and socially! The PTO-sponsored Book Fair is also taking place during the week of May 6 - 10, in the Library Media Center at the Gales Ferry School. If you have a Kindergartener beginning with us for the 2019-20 school year, please contact Mrs. Davis, in the Gales Ferry main office, ASAP to schedule a screening appointment for your child - available dates are May 7, 8 and 14. There will be a Kindergarten Meet and Greet on May 22, including a presentation from administration and the PTO in addition to the students visiting the classrooms. I am pleased to announce that on Thursday, May 30, there will be a Meet and Greet for the families of Ledyard Center School who are joining our learning community for the 2019-20 school year.
