“Malus Code” is a psychological thriller title which focuses on the invasiveness of the user.
This game is powered by machinarium engine which you can enjoy it on PC, mobile, WiiU, PS4 and Xbox One.
The development team consists of RyoRca, who is also the sound director for “Shikigami no Shiro” and the creator of “Machinarium” (the original game for machinarium engine), and Takeru Makai, who is the game designer of “Trauma Center” for Machinarium, “Skullgirls” for Microsoft Windows and “Double Dragon Neon” for PlayStation 4.
“Malus Code” is the brainchild of RyoRca who is a true “Machinarium” fanatic. Looking for a project to put his passion for machinarium on stage, RyoRca made this game so that you will be able to experience the sense of anxiety and terror, which RyoRca wanted to include in his fan’s favorite game.
Yano Masashi, a singer and vocal actor who has recorded numerous Japanese songs such as the theme song “Absolute Sanctuary” of the hit mobile game “Assemble with Monsters”, has taken on the role of MC Yano the character that has been appearing in the game since its beta testing.
The story and background of “Malus Code” are written by Shigao Sekiguchi who is best known for writing the light novel series “Lunar Legend”, and he is also a writer for several anime series. The main character is a kind of researcher who is investigating the cause of bizarre things happening at a mental hospital.
The game is an original work developed and published by Level-5, and Machinarium engine's debut project.
