Overcolony is a full-featured online multiplayer survival horror game in which 3 to 12 players battle in a massive underground network of passageways and arenas.
Players work together to progress through levels, fighting off menacing cave-dwelling insects, infected animals, and other players while exploring the various levels to find weapons, tools, and other resources.

O.C. is fast-paced tactical gameplay. You need to learn and master the art of keeping your team alive in the airtight underworld of Z.
Different players have different jobs in a process of distributing work, and a variety of professions, skills, and weapons are available to be used during the fight.
Overcolony is very much like playing in a real cave. In fact, the levels are almost exactly identical to a real cave: there's the constant danger of small-scale cave-ins, collapses, and other hazards.

As in the real world, the weakest members of your team have the hardest time of survival, since you can't just sit back and relax.

This is actually a sequel to a space trading game I made 3 years before called Starry Moon. This game had a very simple mouse controlled ship that shoot one or two missiles. The game is very well made. It was made specifically for a competition so it was very small in features and had no story line. But it was fun to make. The biggest problems were the original game was designed for Win 95 and was port to an other platform without to much thought. So I had a lot of debugging to make things work. To bad the original game never saw the daylight and I lost the source code for the RPG Maker XP. But I liked the original game so I decided to make a sequel to that. The core of gameplay is the same. Basic ship controls. The core of gameplay is basically just shooting and eating asteroids with missiles. I added a new ship with a jet engine.
With a long gameplay in mind, I had a lot of different ideas for the controls. First was using a controller. But this didn't feel right, it's something that I had used before on a game, but got some incorrect results. After some thinking I decided to go with the mouse. So, in reality this game isn't designed for a controller, it's designed for a mouse and keyboard. The ship is easily controlled with the WASD keys and you can use the mouse for movement. There are two analog controllers. One for your weapons and the other for your engine. Both are bit "musical" in their control, by moving in the left and right direction you can change the sound of your weapons fire. In the same direction you can also move in, you also increase speed.
Ship Controls:
WASD - Ship Movement
Arrow Keys - Camera Movement
Space Bar - Fire / Change Target (unless there's a heatcheck)
CTRL+c - Build a missile (DPS is around 220)
CTRL+C - Switch target
Mouse - Movement (Change targets while hold CTRL+c)
There's no direct targeting on your ship like in the original game. You might hit something, but you will never hit exactly the point you want to hit. The AI seems to be a bit better. Normally the AI would switch target after you fired a missile and fire at something else. With the mouse control you might miss targets that you are really aiming at, because you need to hold CTRL+c while you move the mouse. This makes it a bit annoying and you sometimes can
