Visual Communications at Work.
So these next two pictures take on a different aspect of the visual communication realm. These are going to tackle photography and how important photography can be to creating a message. For these two pictures here, I have taken one picture of me on the baseball field with my hat backwards, and another one with my football clothes on and my helmet at my side. These are my senior pictures and personality is very evident throughout anyone's senior pictures. In these pictures, we see a guy who loves to play baseball and football. That was me. All through high school and my life, those have always been some of my favorite things to do. 
With the photography, you can see that everything is strategically placed. Where the man is standing compared to where I am. What is in the background, everything within the pictures are trying to tell a story. The football, helmet, baseball, and my jerseys are all examples of artifacts as well. These artifacts are used to communicate that I am a football player and a baseball player.
 With the picture of the couple who is getting married, we can tell that they are getting married because of tie signs. We know that this is no brother or just a friend because of the intimate looks that they are both giving each other. Those looks that indicate such intimacy are called tie signs. Them holding hands is also a tie sign because it again shows that they are a couple and not a brother/sister relationship or father/daughter relationship.
