Undefeated Australian super welterweight star Tim Tszyu has promised to turn the "lights out" on his next opponent, Japan's Takeshi Inoue, when the pair fight in Sydney. However, Inoue is having none of it. In fact, the 31-year-old is confident things will go the other way, predicting Tsyzu is the one headed for la la land.
And that might just happen. Plenty of good judges give Inoue more than a hitter's chance against Tszyu, the son of Australian all-time great Kostya Tsyzu. Inoue's only loss came in a title shot against Mexican star Jaime Munguia in 2019.
Tszyu risks derailing his immediate chances of a title shot if he loses. He's been questioned before previous fights and proven himself each time. Just like his father during his career, the younger Tszyu is compulsory viewing whenever he steps in the ring. This fight will be no different.

Who will win Tszyu vs Inoue?
Inoue (17-1-1 record, 10 KOs) is sixth in line for a WBO title and has arrived in Australia looking fit and ready to fight. Tszyu (19-0, 15 KOs), of course, is first in line for a shot at Brian Castano's belt.
The Aussie sensation has the advantage of being seasoned, too. This is his third bout of the year, and he's barely raised a sweat in winning his other 2021 fights. Meanwhile, it's more than a year since Inoue fought competitively. But the Japanese fighter is well respected and, dangerously, has forged a good career a touch out of sight of Tsyzu's orbit.
At a press conference last week, Tszyu said he and his team have watched Inoue's recent fights closely and enter the battle confident they have the strategy to "open up" the tough, powerful 31-year-old.
For months, Tszyu has predicted he will end the fight in 6 rounds. Who are we to doubt him?
