The Biking City

A city cannot function without the street; a feeble artery will weaken the heart. We have designed our cities to accommodate a gas-guzzling, air-polluting, metal machine, but we have left our friends and families behind. Increasingly, our opportunity for natural exercise -- replaced with a nine-to-five commute -- has diminished, and our children are left stranded in the suburbs. Innovation will be essential to breathing life back into our cities.
