CHABSS - Film Studies

The primary purpose of the Minor in Film Studies is to enhance student learning regarding the: -production of film -global history of film -interpretation of film -uses of film -art of filmmaking The minor in Film Studies will prepare students for a range of professional opportunities requiring critical thinking, historical awareness, research, and strong written and oral communication. Students in Film Studies develop competence in film analysis, critical viewing and writing, as well as visual literacy. Students explore cinematographic expression and form while noting diverse perspectives, methods and products.
