Annotated Bibliography 
	The journals utilized explore social mobility, socioeconomic status, and policy as they all relate to education. My GSS data is about determining whether a lack of educational opportunities relate to race. Social mobility is significant because education produces upward social mobility, and a lack of education generally produces the opposite. Socioeconomic status is relevant because socioeconomic status can change the availability of educational resources. Policy involving education is important because a lack of inclusive educational policy has historically put people of color at risk for a lack of educational opportunities.

	This article explores social mobility or lack thereof as it relates to generational mobility. It utilizes the great Gatsby curve to illustrate how income earnings over generations effect inequality. The article even explores it in a perspective of inheritance. Inheritance is normally discussed in wealthy connotations, but the authors explore it in regard to generational inequality. The author also explores that larger education gap in particular to low-income households. Finally, it supports the need for more public policy that takes low-income families into consideration.

	This journal explores the socioeconomic status of parents and children. It evaluates the relationship between the socioeconomic status of siblings as it relates to parents. More importantly the author highlights the institutional forces behind the issue. Specifically, it highlights the lack of educational policy that benefits the oppressed in America.

	This article highlights the strides that have been made in policy as it relates to closing the educational gad due to income in addition to highlighting the need for more work to be done in policy. This article is particularly important because it highlights the individual educational issues in low-income communities. Research like this allows for evidence when trying to develop specific targeted programs.
