Gimme All Your Love
This song begins as an exercise in patience. It's a very unorthodox drum line with a pretty awkward rhythm and really delicate vocals. And then BOOM! A fistful of loud angst ridden attitude comes out of nowhere in the form of loud drums and synth followed by a malevolent sounding laugh! This is one of my favourites for sure - makes me imagine a person having a lovers quarrel, vulnerable and vicious in equal measure.
And ooh what's this? Just when I think the song is over it morphs into an 2000's indie sounding descent into hedonism. That guitar solo is sexy as hell - I'm loving the buzzy texture of the notes, and the screaming vocals singing "gimme all you got". Yup this final segment of the track just cemented it as my favourite so far.
