Mixing WCF REST and UI layers in same project
I have a simple question about mixing WCF REST and UI in a single project. I have a very simple web service written using WCF REST (basically a really simple file share with no security) that returns JSON. My plan was to have a Winforms app use the WCF REST for most of the interaction, but then return the JSON to a WPF app that would consume it. This will run in the same solution as the server.
Can I use a Service reference from the WCF REST service to the server, as that would allow me to consume the REST service in the WPF client with relative ease? Can I set up a proxy to that service through the service reference if so? Would I use a different approach than this? Any advice would be appreciated!

Yes, it's pretty much a matter of creating a second proxy to that WCF REST service, as both can live in the same project. When you consume the first service through a proxy, you would simply need to use it as a proxy also when consuming the second service.
