Media Committees
System Media Committee
The system media committee will be composed of the Chief Technology Officer, all media specialists, and designated media support personnel.  Parents, teachers, administrators, and students may be asked to serve on an ad hoc basis to address specific issues.  The functions of the system media committee will be to establish procedures for the implementation of these policies; and to periodically review and, when necessary, revise the policies and procedures. 
School Library Media Committees
A school media committee will be formed in each school in the Monroe County School System.  This committee must meet quarterly during the school year to oversee the business of the school media center.  Members of this committee should include a school administrator, the school media specialist, and teacher representatives.  Parents, teachers, and students may be asked to serve on an ad hoc basis to address specific issues.  The function of the school media committee is to participate in evaluating and modifying the school media services.
