The Impact of Technology in Collaborative Learning Elizabeth O'Connor Technology has changed the way students learn in special education classrooms especially since the pandemic. While certain technology might not have always played a huge role in the special education classroom that has changed in the last 2 years. Students have adapted with these challenges and more collaborative learning is taking place through technology and other activities. Students are working either one on one, in small groups in the classroom or at home via technology. Technology has increased the ability to meet the various needs of students. As an educator I have noticed an increase on collaborative technology driven lessons. Platforms being used in special education classroom: Google Classroom, Boom Learning and Canvas. The world of education has changed forever, the pandemic has shown educators that technology and collaborative learning can benefit students on various academic levels. I hope the resources in this guide will help provide additional information for collaborative learning in the special education and general education classrooms.
