Make a wood pen or a wood key ring.
Homework:
1 Please watch How to Turn a Pen on a lathe pen- below - 5 minutes and Turning a Pen with Traditional Tools (How-to Beginners Guide)
2 Please read these instructions for Slim Line pens- below.
3 Please bring any pen blanks, fire trucks, or basketball games from previous meetings so we can get a photo.
4 Please Review the Jet Tools 1221 lathe manual- below.
5 Please Dress for Successful & Safe Woodturning:
Long pants & Short Sleeves
Short hair, or tie up long hair.
No loose clothing, No Hoodie Strings, etc 
Remove Jewelry
Clean your own Safety Glasses before and after class
Clean your own Face Shield before and after class
Wear a Mask
Zero Cell phone usage during class.                                        Students are permitted to have their cell phones or other electronic devices on their person, but they are not permitted to turn on or use those devices during the instructional time. Phones Off or Turned In. Zero Cell phone usage during class.
No ear buds etc
Thanks for rounding up and cleaning up last time!
Your mentors will have a fast glue as well as a slow glue so we can start making pens. Don't be late.  Look for us on Saturday Feb 27th Time to be Determined,  at the YWCA on University. Maybe it will be springtime by then.
