The Minimum wage: Increasing the minimum wage can reduce poverty.

IIn the late 1800 (They call it the Gilded Age), businesses were roaring. but there is massive inequality between the individuals at the top and its workers, resulting in power abuse and not paying their employers the right amount they deserve. This results in workers seeking and demanding the proper wages they deserve. For over a decade, demanding a salary increase is still evident in our generation. In the Philippines, the daily minimum wage rates vary from region to region. In 2021, the minimum wage was 537 pesos a day. It has not changed since 2019. Many workers have been voicing their opinions regarding increasing their salary since many of them are significantly affected by the minimum wage.
Raising the minimum wage may reduce poverty, especially in developing countries. But the rise of minimum wage does not impact all employees, for it only impacts the minority of poor workers or low-wage employees. "Higher minimum wages do not affect all low-income households the same way." Nevertheless, it could still have a significant impact on reducing poverty. It gives and provides its workers the salary they need to live and survive. One of the primary reasons most low-wage workers seek an increase in their paycheck is that it allows them to purchase goods and services. Increasing the minimum wage will enable them to purchase their basic needs and help them provide for their family since many of these middle-class, low-wage workers are adults, and some have a family. But keep in mind that the effect of raising the minimum wage in developing countries still depends on how it impacts its employees.
