Engliand Athletics Affiliation

Manchester Road Runners is an England Athletics affiliated club, meaning our members have the option to become affiliated athletes. When affiliated there are lots of benefits for both the club and the runner. Affiliation registration runs from 1st April 2019 until 31st March 2020 and is £20 for the year. You don’t have to be registered to run with us, but being a registered athlete brings some amazing benefits: • Helping to support MRR and allowing us to grow • Entry discounts (minimum £2) on UKA licenced road and multi-terrain events • 10% discount and free delivery at Sportsshoes.com • Eligibility for a club place at the Virgin Money London Marathon • Entry to events exclusively available to registered athletes • Exclusive offers – discounts with various well-known businesses including New Balance, IHG hotels, and AfterShokz • ebulletins including key information on the sport and exclusive registered athlete offers. • Entry in the Great Run Club Challenge competition in the Great Run Events • The ability to have a say on how the sport is run and funded in a way that reflects your fundamental importance to the sport • Your registration fee helps make a difference to many areas of the sport It costs £20 per year to become affiliated with MRR, which runs from April to April. Payment can be by either of the following: 1 – Paypal to mancroadrunners@gmail.com (select to pay friend/family so the club gets all the money please :-) ) 2 – Bank transfer to; Name: Manchester Road Runners, Sort code: 40-08-22 Account number: 81736884 If you’re interested in becoming a registered athlete with Manchester Road Runners then catch us on Weds or drop us an e-mail at affiliation@manchesterroadrunners.com with the following details; Name: DOB: Address: Mobile Number: Email: Once registered you’ll receive a Unique Registration Number (URN), which you can use straight away to gain your benefits. Plus, access to your online profile. You’ll then be sent an England Athletics official athlete registration card.
