Company TIE Ideas 
Company Name: Our Company is called Smiling RATs (Rare Audacity Team), the title of our performance is called Galaxy-Collect Your Stars. Our performance is called this because our play is based on the Black Mirror episode Nosedive and they all care about start ratings. So we includes star in our title.
Context - For our piece we as a group are looking at the episode Nosedive from the Netflix's show Black Mirror. We have made a few a changes to the original episode. There is an unfair school system, were everyone starts with 4 stars and they way you act can increase decrease the number of stars you have. The more stars you have the more opportunities, the better your education is. For example getting better meals and school trips, which can led up to jealously and bullying. 
Our piece is about a student who's getting badly bullied. We want the audience to feel the pain for the person who's getting bullied. Some people actually have to live like this, and put up with people bullying them.       
Themes: The three main themes are social media, oppression and dehumanisation. All these themes all link up very well, it goes to show how social media can do more harm than good. It can also cause dehumanisation when someone treats you differently just because of social media.

'House pet'- Sonya, her ratings are under three
'House pet - Jayden, rating under three and starts to bully people to get ratings up
Hannah - Abbie, shy doesn't really out in the crowd because is scared of being judged by people
Regina - Maddie, rich girl and she is the leader of the group. Doesn't like anyone and will do anything in her power to get her ratings and make her way up to the top    
What's our message: Our message is that your life shouldn't be based all on social media, and how toxic it can be, and how we shouldn't treat people differently because of what they post on social media (followings) they have. This can also cause toxicity between teenagers and creates an unhealthy environment. Life is not about how many stars you have and what people think of you. Be grateful for being you, don't bully people just because were they come from. Not only are you putting them down but your also putting yourself down.
Practioner: The practioner we are looking at is Augusto  Boal. We are using him because, he uses techniques like Freeze frame, how the audience can change the whole entire play. He also shows different scenarios which can have a lot of different endings.
