Internet Safety & Digital Citizenship

If we, as educators, want to create future-ready digital citizens, we must be dedicated to ensuring that our students are not only competent at navigating the online world, but also that they are making good decisions about what they share, acting with kindness and compassion towards friends and strangers alike, and critically evaluating the information they consume. Because so much of civic and social life is now undertaken online, it is especially important to start teaching students these critical skills at a young age. This collection of resources is meant to provide a starting point for students and educators to engage with topics such as online safety, privacy and security, preventing and reporting cyber bullying, and monitoring one’s own online behavior.
