In Colombia, sexual assault across university campuses is on a rise. One group that exacerbates this issue is FEDEGAN. This group that exists on Whatsapp, that shares photos of female students with other students at nearby schools. At the same time that this information was released, Bolivar en falda, a feminist group was formed at the Pontifical Bolivarian University. When issues of sexual assault were brought to the school, female students were told not to wear skirts and other forms of clothing deemed to be inappropriate. Bolivar en falda was also told not to "damage the university's good name" on Instagram by sharing stories and information regarding the multiple assault cases. One group, in response to so many issues similar to the ones mentioned, was formed. The Franja Roja was created as a gender collective. Together, they develop and propose protocols to universities when it comes to sexual assault. It is groups like these that are working to create initiatives that help women and prevent future sexual assault across Colombian college campuses. Women who are protesting sexual assault across Colombia are running into issues as well. Colombian women protesting sexual assault have been met with assault by police officers. These officers have threatened the women with guns, derogatory remarks, and more. Overall, in Colombia, despite feminist groups forming, it is incredibly difficult to protest the country's high rates of sexual assault. These women, however, are incredibly determined to continue their protest and can be found bringing up initiatives on their campuses, and in the streets despite the violence being directed towards them.
