Levi Strauss & Co. is one of the largest apparel companies in the world with stores in more than 110 countries.

Nicknamed "The Mother of Jeans", it was founded in 1853 by Levi Strauss, a German immigrant of Jewish origin.  He came to California during the gold rush and opened a branch of the fabric company in San Francisco, run by himself and his brothers, based in New York.  The timeless Levi's jeans have a new reason to continue making history: the green turning point, to which an extra goal is added year after year.
 The production techniques used in the company's plants reuse water during the production cycle, so so far more than 1.8 billion liters of water have been saved and over 129 million have been recycled.  To date, more than 40% of all Levi's®️ products are made with water saving techniques and by the end of 2020 they should become 80%.  But that is not all.  "We can reduce the water normally used in the finishing of denim by up to 96%, i.e. in the final phase of making a pair of jeans",
