What does the case study tell us about inclusion and a child-centred approach ?

Settling-in sessions take place for the staff to learn about the children's experiences and individual needs
This helps the children get to know staff and start building positive relationships 
Staff ask Jack what he likes to play with ( what are his interests, giving him choice )
Children are observed so that appropriate activites and play opportunities can be set up
Activites can be differentiated to meet individual needs ( Jack needs activities to support his interest in numbers )  
Observation means that clear targets and plans can be made based on individual needs
