A little something about Margaret Wise Brown
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 23, 1910 and died November 13, 1952. 
She attended Hollins College in Roanoke, Virginia and earned a B.A.
She took a job as an editor of children's books in NYC, and encouraged by publisher William R. Scott, she began trying to produce children's books.   
Her two most well known books are Goodnight Moon and The Runaway Bunny . 
She has been called the "Laureate of the nursery" for her achievements.
Due to her success she left Scotts employ to concentrate full time on writing. At times producing five or more children's titles a year.
