Stay-At-Home Mom/Raising the Future:
I am fortunate to have stayed home (full time) with my daughter. Doing so gave me the opportunity to bond with her/get to know her while at the same time get better acquainted with myself and to grow emotionally and mentally. My daughter is now nine years old and I continue to learn about her, myself, and life each and everyday as I raise and support her.
Following is a list of how becoming a mother taught me to be a better parent, leader, and friend:

Embrace/practice empathy.
Know when to push and when to let go.
A personalized approach is crucial.
How to roll with the unexpected.
To celebrate the positive.
Life/learning can be messy.
To balance competing needs.
Embrace learning on the go.
Balance selfcare (others and myself).
All perspectives have merit.
It further developed/strengthened my problem solving skills.
Budget work load, education advancement, everyday responsibilities, finances, etc.
