These agents will then attempt to eliminate their former leader, which may not always be successful. Apart from the main story, there are also various side quests and random events that the player can complete in Mordor. These tasks can be solved in different ways. The player can opt for normal hand-to-hand combat, or move stealthily through the shadows instead, or perhaps use a bow to hit their targets from afar. Each playstyle gives players different runes that allow them to level up their rangers with ranger abilities or ghosts through the ghost skill tree.
