1. What are the pros and cons of the Disney/20th Century Fox deal?
Pros:
The consolidation of media could be be viewed as either a pro or con, depending on your perspective. This merger consolidates massive amounts of media (tv/film) to one centralized location...Disney +, improving ease of access. Instead of having to pull from/ subscribe to multiple sources to access your favorite content, a majority of the content from both companies are now available from one source.
Disney's massive budget means a larger pot of resources and potentially more media from the films and series they acquired from Fox. Take the Star Wars franchise for example. Love them or hate them, the latest Star Wars films had an exponential increase in the resources available to create a "finished" product. Disney also re-released digitally remastered versions of the original Star Wars trilogy.

Cons:
Disney's acquisition of Fox further monopolies the film and media industry, reducing the number of major film studio to 5 companies, giving Disney a 40% share of the market. Less competition could result in a decrease in diversity and artistic creativity in film and series. With Disney being the final approving authority on what's released, they could be much more hesitant to release media that takes pushes the envelope and takes creative risk. Their bottom line is the almighty $. 
As stated above in the "Pros" the consolidation of media could also be viewed as a con. With an increasing number of individuals utilizing streaming services to access their favorite film and t.v. series, this merger removed large amounts of media from streaming services and placed them on Disney +, forcing consumers to either sign up for an additional streaming platform, or go without access to media.
