YEAR 2
Year 2 celebrated International Women's day by making flowers and cards for their mother's, grannies, aunts, sisters and friends! We were treated to a wonderful musical performance by Secondary students on Tuesday afternoon. Outside, all the male students and staff clapped for the female students and staff and presented flowers and chocolates. It was a wonderful celebration. Everyone enjoyed having a day off to rest in the middle of the week. Year 2 have begun preparing for their performance for parents on 31st March. We are looking forward to welcoming parents to school that morning! Each class creates a performance based on an important word such as 'Friendship' or 'Courage'. You will have to wait until the 31st to find out what Year 2's theme is! We are looking forward to many upcoming events such as St. Patrick's Day, Maths Day and Science Week! As well as celebrating many special occasions, Year 2 have impressed us this week with their ability to count coins in Maths, use apostrophes to make contractions in English and identify famous castles in Topic. Well done Year 2!
