Week 6: Collaborate (The Experience)
I think with the collaboration process and module one, I was feeling quite frustrated and confused due to a lack of communication. However, as we progress I see our team stepping forward more and more to take a more active role which is really reassuring.
Something that depicts the definition of collaboration to me is the new Deadmau5 and Foster the People song, Hyperlandia. Deadmau5 is an edm DJ and Foster the People is an Indie Rock band. I have never seen the two genres of music together yet Deadmau5 and Foster the People did a fantastic job, and the result is an Indie Rock song with a great EDM beat.

Throughout this collaboration process I have learned one main lesson. Normally with group projects I take the role of the leader as I find it the easiest way to work. I can set up process that I believe makes sense as well as direct the work. However, with this Module I decided to take another role so I can learn how to work with other peoples schedule and the route others want to go down. I am still a bit concerned as it seems like the group communication is not so great but it seems to be improving so I am trying to stay optimistic. I have learned that sometimes is best to let others lead in order to get more people involved in the project.
