💻 Introducing me! 🙌🏾

My name is Nelann (pronounced nell-ahn) Taylor, and I am a Spanish and technology lead teacher at West St. John High School in Louisiana. Our counties are called parishes and there are only two high schools in ours. I teach at the smaller school with nearly 200 students, which includes eighth graders! 😲
I've been using Wakelet for a while now both professionally and personally.

Classroom - Each student has their own account but a few of them have been giving us the blues lately. I use Wakelet Spaces for both Spanish classes to house the syllabus and procedures, podcasts, authentic resources in the target language, and any other cool stuff I can get my hands on to share with students! School (Work) - After attending several Wakelet Webinars and Community Events, I've had so many fantastic takeways! The most beneficial to bring EVERYONE into the fold is the use of our digital Wakelet Monthly Newsletter! I would love for others to add on to it; but for now it's just me spreading the word.
Shout Outs/ Celebrations - For Boss's Day in October 2021, I created a Wakelet for our faculty and staff to contribute. One even embedded a Flipgrid video with her children. I included an image of our bitmojis together, and most wrote notes and sent giphys. It was very special.💌
Personal - The first Wakelet Space outside of work I created was for our ladies' group at church. We have our own hashtag #EatingOurWayThroughLA (not just New Orleans but all over Louisiana)! My collection headers/ main photos are created in Canva and then I just dump all the photos we take on our outings into the Wakelet Space. Each collection within the space is the month, the alphabet/ letter and restaurant.
Language Study - I am currently acquiring Portuguese and participate in a few live classes weekly. We had an assignment not too long ago, a project, and I thought, "What better way to showcase my learning" than by building a Wakelet collection!🙌🏾
