Macon-Bibb Commission 2/20/24

In a mid-year budget adjustment, the Macon-Bibb County Commission allocated nearly $15.5 million for various projects including about $1.2 million in extra revenue not budgeted. The county also is buying about 1.34 acres of land at the corner of Walnut and Seventh streets near the entrance to Carolyn Crayton Park. The Commission also welcomed suggestions by the Macon Arts Alliance's recent Sound Diplomacy study of the county's cultural contributions and opportunity for enhancing economic development through the arts.
