Zhan was the largest shareholder of Roblox, owning 49% of its shares. In the purchase agreement, Roblox Corporation obtained a five-year license to 10 Million Users' technology, servers, and services as well as 10 Million Users' intellectual property, and it continues to work with 10 Million Users in order to enhance Roblox's existing features and services.
On July 18, 2019, Zhan withdrew his majority interest in Roblox, and the Roblox Corporation transferred the original intellectual property (IP) assets to a new company it had created, RISE Games.
Background 
In August 2004, David Baszucki was a college student at the University of California, Santa Barbara and a member of a campus computer gaming team called Unit 13.[12] Other members of this group included Andrew Oremland, who would become the developer of Roblox, and David Baldwin, who would later become the game's public relations director. The team would place second in a campus competition after having created a game called "Game of Robux".[13] After ending his studies at the university in 2005, Baszucki began to develop Roblox.[12]
