Roblox is a freemium massively multiplayer online game (MMO) platform and game creation system developed by Roblox Corporation. Users can create games and play games designed by other users. Roblox was acquired by Comcast in 2016 and is owned by it today.
The system was launched on May 14, 2006 as a creative writing and programming project by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel, two college students at the University of Alberta. Players can use a Java- or JavaScript-powered web browser to create games and play other user-made games. Roblox developers can access the same platform using the development environment, which provides tools for code editing, asset management, and game creation.
Roblox is free to play, with most of the game's features available to the player for free. Players can upgrade to access additional game features with Robux, Roblox's virtual currency. In-game items and virtual property can be purchased with real money, or the in-game currency can be exchanged for real money by players who have enabled microtransactions. Robux can also be earned by completing special events, challenges, and other activities.
When players are being logged in to Roblox, advertisements appear while the players do not play the game. The advertisements are targeted to similar users to the players based on the games that they have played, or can be based on the games that the players have already played. Advertisers pay Roblox for the opportunity to appear in the advertisements, and Roblox can display other pages and websites that the players have visited while playing. Roblox receives revenue from in-game advertising, Robux, and sales of virtual items or property. About 15% of the players are expected to be logged in to the platform at a time.
The popularity of Roblox has been increasing since 2007. Roblox recorded over 8 million monthly active users in 2007, and by 2011 reached 15 million monthly active users. In February 2012, Roblox recorded over 25 million monthly active users, the highest number of users ever on a single platform. The robot of the year award (and the westminster speech) was a huge game changer in our political world. This election will be arguably one of the most important in a long time.
I used to think this video would be longer with more detail about the issues. There are so many things. But then I thought that the topics can evolve as the situation changes.
I started thinking about the election since Trump became the President-Elect and they revealed the Clinton emails. We knew things were going to change for the U.S. but this was not something we prepared for. And if we underestimated the situation, what else are we unprepared for?
There's so many things that can change and they are introducing a lot of uncertainty.
I want to briefly discuss this video with a political science perspective. There are so many different aspects to this and I know I can't claim to be fully versed on the subject. But I can share my thoughts.
Trump won so easily that the DNC refused to even hold a primary for the presidency.
That's right, they did not have a primary for the nomination.
This is a major difference from the last election when the republicans didn't have a primary either.
Remember in 2012, Trump chose whoever won the primary and moved on.
There was no true nominee for the republican party.
Now, with the republican party there was no chance of the nomination.
This should be a major concern. The number of republican candidates was so large.
This is different from 2008 because there was a united democrat party. There were very few candidates.

You can change your character’s clothes, but you can not change the ‘latest’ version. The earliest version is the default. Even if you only have it for an hour, the last one is the one you see.

Here’s a good example for what the “latest” button does. Try resetting your game and coming back in a while. You’ll notice that there’s a new version of your character. You’re able to ‘adopt’ it and don’t have to pay the full price for a robot.
Find bugs

There are a lot of bugs that are very weird, and they will occasionally cause the game to crash. These are hard to find, and some examples:
YOU DO NOT HAVE THE BEST WEAPON – You’re a human. You need to play smart and you’ll get lucky. Just keep on looking.
YOU ARE NOT BEING FOLLOWED – Unless you are, which is rare and not part of the game.
YOU ARE FIGHTING AN AI – Sometimes you will fight robotic monsters, even if you don’t want to fight a human.
YOU ARE FIGHTING THE FINAL FIELD – Sometimes you’re not the only ones in there. They’re not trying to kill you.
SEE YA – That’s the only way to leave your character.
YOU ARE SWIMMING – That’s it, because it’s a swimming level.
