Hope Squad Resources

H.O.P.E. stands for Hold On, Persuade, Empower. Hope Squads were implemented in 2005 by suicide prevention expert, Dr. Greg Hudnall, as a peer-to-peer approach to suicide prevention at school. Hope Squad members are elected by peers and trained to identify suicide warning signs, question, persuade, and refer struggling peers to a counselor for help. Hope Squad members are the eyes and ears of the school. Below are resources for parents whose child may be struggling with bullying, anxiety, depression, self-harm, addiction, suicidal ideation, or suicide attempts. Please reach out if your student is struggling at school to find friends, struggling with anxiety, depression, or suicidal thoughts. We have an incredible team of counselors and together we will take care of your kids because they are worth it, and we love them!
