SCAN / Scanner
The term "scanner" refers to a machine used to scan (electronically read and record) a two-dimensional image or page. "Scanner" may also refer to a device that is commonly used to create such an image. A digital camera is an example of such a scanner, and a scanner can be used to digitally scan an image on a piece of paper. The term "scan" may also be used to describe the process of creating such a two-dimensional image or page, although this is typically more technically referred to as "image capture."

SCANNER TECHNOLOGY
A scanner generally consists of two parts: a "scan engine" that contains the mechanical hardware and the driver software for scanning and a "scan engine processor" or "scan engine processor" (SOP) that is the part of the scanner that recognizes and interprets the electronic signals and processes the information to create an image. A typical scan engine processor consists of a microcontroller or digital signal processor, an image buffer, and a two-dimensional (2D) image memory or frame buffer, as well as additional circuitry, such as power regulation or error checking and correction.
A scanner can be either a linear or a flatbed scanner. A linear scanner moves the image in a single direction as the image is scanned. The image is scanned either by a linear CCD sensor that moves along the length of the scan engine or a line scanner consisting of a linear array of LEDs or optical fibers that are spaced evenly along the length of the scan engine. A line scanner can be combined with a linear CCD sensor, creating a bi-directional CCD scanner. A flatbed scanner consists of a 2D sensor that remains stationary as the image is scanned.
A typical flatbed scanner consists of a flatbed or scanning area that is fixed in place and a flatbed reader that moves with the image. Flatbed scanners usually use a CCD sensor. A scanner can be either monochrome or color. Monochrome scanners use only black and white printing ink, while color scanners use cyan, magenta, and yellow, and optionally red, green, and blue, pigment inks to produce color images. There are also a large number of application add-ons and plug-ins that provide additional AutoCAD Product Key functionality. Platform support
Autodesk has stated that its product RoadMap (discontinued) will support only Windows 10 starting March 2020, even though there are recent versions of Windows 10 on the market. If the application cannot be properly started on the supported version of Windows, the user can select the nearest compatible version of Windows to manually start the application.
Autodesk has announced the discontinuation of support for Windows 7 and 8.1 by September 2020. Updates for these versions will be available until then.
