Have you ever heard of a game called Blooket? I hadn’t until I stumbled across an ad on YouTube while searching for a song. Curious, I clicked through and it led me to their website where they were proudly boasting that they had partnered with several local schools (my own included) as well as a few government agencies in my state. Right away, it seemed that they might be onto something. The more I read about them, though, I learned that not only were they taking advantage of teachers who didn’t know better, but they were also charging schools thousands of dollars per year just to use their platform.
