AutoCAD's history began in 1986 with the release of AutoLISP for drafting on the Amiga. Then in 1989, AutoCAD was released on the PC platform as a Microsoft Windows program. The tool was based on an interface developed for AutoDraw (originally based on an Apple interface called ScratchDraw). AutoCAD 1.0 was released in 1991, the same year AutoCAD went completely Microsoft Windows only.

To determine whether one or more antiepileptic drugs are of benefit in preventing a second unprovoked seizure, we reviewed the records of patients who were first hospitalized for a first unprovoked seizure and subsequently treated with antiepileptic drugs. We selected from patients entering the first hospitalization for a first unprovoked seizure, those who were treated with antiepileptic drugs and followed for a second unprovoked seizure, those who were rehospitalized for a second unprovoked seizure after treatment with antiepileptic drugs, and those who had a third unprovoked seizure after treatment with antiepileptic drugs. Of 622 patients, 193 were treated with antiepileptic drugs and were followed for a second unprovoked seizure. The mean interval between the first and second unprovoked seizures was 7.5 years (range, 0.1 to 24 years). The percentage of patients with a second unprovoked seizure was 14 of 193 (7.3%) with monotherapy and 18 of 179 (10%) with polytherapy (P =.08).
