Research & Discussion Task For this task you will be researching a case where there were serious issues with accountability. Wach group will be assigned a case study. - Case Study 1: Gosport Memorial Hospital - Case Study 2: The Priory - Case Study 3: Winterbourne View & Whorlton Hall - Case Study 4: Mid Staffordshire - Case study 6: Child abuse You might not have time to view all of the material contained here, you may therefore find other information from internet searching etc. Some supporting information about the concept of accountability has also been included. The Session During the session you will be placed into a group of 5, if you prefer you can choose your own groups, let me know on the day. Consider the following: - What went wrong? - Who was accountable? - What can we learn from these cases? - What was the impact on the public?
