Consumer Studies

Consumerism is how brands keep customers going back to their products, and building a trust with a consumer base that their product is the best and most reliable place to get what they need. This can be positive, as it keeps jobs going and helps brands and businesses to grow and expand at faster speeds than usual; it also has many negative impacts, such as a big contribution to things like pollution and climate change. There are also work place issues with companies e.g fast fashion brands that pay their staff that make the garments very low wages when the factories are already based in developing countries.
