GPS Track Editor is an indispensable tool for avid hikers, bikers, and anyone who's interested in tracking his or her own activities using a GPS receiver. The convenient navigation and easily customizable interface makes it an ideal application for novice users and experts alike.A typical example of prior art is disclosed in Japanese Patent Unexamined Publication No. 60-229959, wherein the following is explained. A base substrate of silicon is firstly constructed and a crystalline silicon film is secondly formed on the base substrate so as to cover it. An amorphous silicon film is formed between the base substrate and the crystalline silicon film. Then, a crystalline silicon layer is obtained by the annealing treatment for the base substrate and the crystalline silicon film. The crystalline silicon layer is used as a scanning line layer of a TFT. A transparent film is formed on the surface of the crystalline silicon layer for protecting it. The protection film is removed from a region which needs to be patterned, and the crystalline silicon layer is patterned with the protection film left on it. Then, a transparent film of oxide or the like is formed on the resultant crystalline silicon layer, and then the transparent film and the crystalline silicon layer are patterned for forming a pixel electrode.
However, the prior art example described above has several problems to be solved. One of them is that a very complicated process is required in the step of forming the transparent protection film on the crystalline silicon layer. When
