What is your setting’s approach to equality?
Provide 2 activity examples of each one of the statements below:
•Activities that include everyone/songs and rhymes from a range of  countries and cultures 
•Equipment that is accessible to all
•Displays that reflect all children and families/different  cultures and religions
•Role-play clothes from around the world
•Selection of  books that support different cultural backgrounds
•Celebrate and value different festivals
•Food from different traditions and countries
•Get to know children and their families and be approachable and respectful

Inclusive Practice (Challenge Activity)
•Know about and plan for children’s diverse needs and abilities
•Value all children and families through the way in which you communicate with them-(interact positively) body language/facial expressions. Take time to listen to others. Respond and follow up on parents queries
•Know special facts and what is important to  the child
•Make sure you know children and family names and how to spell and pronounce them correctly
•Challenge any prejudice or discrimination
•Be respectful of others’ opinions
