Hello, I would like to share the above article I found on something called CCS.
	This article concentrates on a novel concept called Carbon Capture and Storage, or CCS. Although this concept has been around for a decade, significant breakthroughs have not been made until recently. A company in Iceland called Hellisheidi geothermal power plant started testing a new method of storing caron in 2017 that is much safe than previous methods. The carbon is dissolved into the water before being deposited deep underground in basaltic rock. By dissolving the carbon in the water, the possibility of the carbon leaking out is largely mitigated compared to previous methods of injecting a gas. In addition to this, the dissolved carbon reacts with the basaltic rock to make calcite the most stable polymorph of calcium carbonate, making it a safe form of long-term storage. Despite the very positive outlook for this project, there are still several issues that need to be solved before it can be implemented at full capacity worldwide. 
	Without a doubt, it can be said that carbon emissions are a wicked problem currently devastating the earth. The increased rate of carbon flux out of storage pools has caused issues such as ocean acidification and climate change. With the natural carbon cycle unable to keep up with the output generated by humans, the CCS project could be the key to reducing the carbon content in the atmosphere and oceans, potentially fixing issues such as ocean acidification or climate change.
