Introduction
	Butterflies are mostly known for their vibrant colors and their metamorphosis transformation. Besides all of that, they have interesting behavior patterns that can be observed in their environment. The three behaviors include perching, patrolling, and puddling. Perching is when a butterfly lands on a tall plant and it is usual done when searching for a mate. Puddling is when  a butterfly sips water filled with nutrients that are usual in puddle from. Patrolling is when is a butterfly flies over a specific area looking for a mate. It was hypothesized that if the butterflies are in a controlled environment then they will mostly be perching and patrolling instead of puddling  because of the contents of their environment. The null hypothesis stated that if the butterflies were in a controlled environment then they would mostly be puddling instead of patrolling and perching because of the contents of their environment.   In this investigation the three behavior patterns were observed to determine which behavior butterflied perform the most in their environment.
