Digital Literacy and Internet Safety

Directions: Go through the Wakelet, in order, completing the activities within each section. Some work may require you to sign in to Google with your @highland-k12.org username, Schoology and maybe even Microsoft 365. Please reach out and send me a message on Schoology if you need help. This is not meant to be difficult, but to teach you to be more digital literate by using the different formats.- Mrs. Faugno According to the American Library Association: Digital literacy is the ability to use information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information, requiring both cognitive and technical skills. Internet Safety is navigating the digital world wisely and safely, and protecting yourself the same way you would leaving the house. The federal law COPPA, is a law protecting children on the Internet. There are many things that YOU can do to protect your digital footprint as well, and that is what we will learn in the coming weeks.
