NuPacket (NuPack) is a simple terminal node controller (TNC) interface application designed for amateur radio operators performing ARES operations on their Windows computers. The app is compatible with any Windows TNCs available over the Internet, and is also compatible with several different interfaces, such as USB, serial ports, or boards with an integrated cable, and many popular and professional TNC software applications.
This version provides support for up to twelve stations, four transfer functions, and two modems, with a maximum of 32 stations in the station list. It supports text transfers, including both logging and audio alerts, and file transfers using the Z-Modem protocol. It has to be noted that this version does not integrate with any software application that supports bulk transfers, so please get a compatible TNC software app to do that.
The application provides many advanced functionalities, such as windows extension for more data display, quick screen changes, and data recording. It can be used for both sending and receiving on two independent screens.
This version also includes extra functions to support the testing of TNCs, such as the ability to turn on and off the communication channels and the TNC audio sounds, the ability to read the received message and display it on-screen, the ability to set the baud rate to match the speed of the TNC, the ability to set the transfer mode to immediate or buffered mode.

NuPacket Requirements:
NuPacket requires the installation of the Z-Modem program which is not included in the installation file of NuPacket.
You must make sure that the "Set COM parameters" screen is closed.
Because of the multiple COM ports needed for NuPacket, users should make sure that any other applications are not running on those ports.
The program is compiled for Windows 64-bit architecture. Windows 7 and Windows 8 are supported.
NuPacket Settings:
Once the computer has been connected to the TNC, the program will appear to the user as an applet on the system tray.
You can adjust the cursor and font preferences.
Click the NuPacket icon in the system tray to access various additional functions.
You can set up the communication mode, add stations, adjust settings, display settings and record received and transmitted data.
