I went to different hospitals in Delhi, but I was not diagnosed with the disease. On a Sunday, while I was studying my symptoms, I went through an article over the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute. The reviews were mixed, but I was in pain, so I felt like giving a try. As I reached the hospital and got the consultation of doctors, I was diagnosed with cancer. Though I was shocked at the same time, my pain was given a reason. I was assured that I am in good hands. My family was encouraged well, and the treatment was started immediately. They then suggested that I have an operation. That was quite a difficult decision, but with the experience, I was being treated, I was confident. The surgery went out very well. My stay during the recovery period had been very convenient. My family nor I faced any problems, unlike other hospitals, which have sanitation issues and interference of other patients. I was asked to take rest at home on the fourth day itself, and that helped me a lot to ease my financial burden, or else the more days would have made it difficult for us financially. Finally, I can speak and eat properly without any pain or issues. Also, the regular checkup and guidance by the doctors help me not to redo all the earlier mistakes.
