Autodesk introduced AutoCAD in 1982 and it was the first commercial CAD application available on a desktop personal computer running on an internal graphics controller. Force the GPU to use more memory
I have an application which must fill a texture with about 60k×60k colour pixels. It takes about 15minutes to do so, so I have tried to make it run on the GPU. I've tried using this code in my shader:

Unfortunately it doesn't run faster and the framerate is at about 28fps which is pretty bad. It's a bottleneck in my application.

Without seeing the rest of your code and GPU implementation, it's a little hard to tell. However, I'm going to point out a few things:
Even if a GPU is the bottleneck in this case, which it's not always the case, using the GPU won't necessarily make it run faster. The bottleneck could be elsewhere, for example CPU intensive compute code.
GPUs are more than capable of drawing 60Kx60K to screen pixels, they just can't do it as fast as the CPU can.
